The 74th annual Finnish Canadian Grand Festival is returning to the City of Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada where the Grand Festival originated on the Dominion Day Weekend in 1940. We are calling this year’s festival: FINNFUN2013. FINNFUN2013 will take place from Thursday June 27th to Canada Day on Monday July 1st, 2013. We encourage families to bring their children to participate and to learn about their Finnish culture and heritage.

FINNFUN2013 is AFFORDABLE FAMILY FUN!
The main venue for the events, lectures and the marketplace is at the pristine 765 acre campus of Laurentian University on a peninsula of beautiful Lake Ramsey. There are special one-day events at Finlandia Village and at Wanup with full details available by clicking on the links to the left of this page.
The fee to attend FINNFUN2013 has been held at the same level as in 2009 as is the same for all of the event fees. The Registration Fee for FINNFUN2013 is ONLY $15 for all 5 days of the festival. Again this year, youths 18 years and under are free to attend the festival but some events do require a modest participation fee.

Please register ALL participants including children and grand children as FINNFUN2013 will provide fun and interesting programs for youths and children.

What do you get for your $15 FINNFUN2013 registration fee?
Only those 19 years of age and older pay the FINNFUN2013 registration fee
A single registration fee of $15 covers general admisstion to all 5 days of FINNFUN2013 including the cultural programs, entrance to the TORI / Finnish Marketplace, lectures, seminars, workshops, demonstrations, displays, photography exhibit, art show, fashion shows, films, dance lessons, tango lessons, free entertainment and participation in the sporting events, (i.e. pesäpallo)
- For those limited events where additional fees are required due to the cost of providing the entertainment or event, that entry fee is clearly marked on the 'Schedule of Events'
One PAID registrant, 19 years old or older, will win two return tickets to Finland (Toronto - Helsinki direct on Finnair flights during summer 2013). The draw is at the FINNFUN2013 Festival Concert on Sunday June 30 to be held at the Fraser Auditorium of Laurentian University.
All events at Finlandia Village Friday June 28 are free, including tours of Finlandia Village (Sudbury Finnish Rest Home)
Free bus transportation is provided to / from Wanup from the Fraser parking lot after the Festival Concert on Sunday June 30
Parking is free at Laurentian University
